My personal blog site where I describe my adventures, my experience as a Disneyland Cast Member, monthly favorites, and other fun stuff happening in my life.

Summer Favorites 2025

Summer has come and gone, but before we fully dive into autumn, let’s go over my favorite activities, food, and habits from the past few months.

I’ve been replaying DARE by Gorillaz nonstop this summer. It’s such a fun, energetic, and playful song.

Rooted Fare Nut Butter

I discovered this nut butter company at a pop-up market featuring Asian creators and shop owners. Rooted Fare offers cookie butters inspired by Chinese-American flavors, such as Chinese Almond Cookie Butter and Crunchy Black Sesame Butter. They had free samples by the spoonful at the market, but one spoonful was all it took— I was HOOKED. Every flavor is phenomenal; however, the Salted Plum Cookie Butter flavor was next level. I knew I had to buy a bottle. My only regret is buying only one because this was a limited-time flavor.

Truly, I wish I had purchased more; this bottle didn’t even last a week in my home. The smooth butter with crunchy bits had a sweet and punchy plum flavor. I ate it with apple slices and put some in my protein milkshakes.

Rooted Fare, PLEASE bring back this flavor!! I will personally make sure you sell enough to make it a profitable returning item.

Joyride Candy

This candy is so yummy! I like that it has less sugar and is a good source of fiber. I typically enjoy it during a long car ride or on days when I’m not as active, so I’m not consuming so much sugar without movement. My favorite candy so far has been the cherry berry ropes, but the other ones are great, too.

I still enjoy sugar and sweets, but it’s nice to have lower sugar options.

Trader Joe’s Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These cookies are soft and delicious! The sea salt really brings out the flavors and elevates the cookie overall. They’re the perfect dessert following any meal.

I just hate that the cookies are individually wrapped. It seems a bit wasteful of plastic, and the cookies don’t stay too fresh for long after they’ve been opened.

Disneyland Old Fashioned Milk Chocolate & Almonds Bar

I bought this chocolate bar mainly because I liked the design of it, but it tastes really good, too! The almond offers a nice, subtle crunch to the rich chocolate bar.

Please forgive my cruddy photo, this is the only one I found of this chocolate bar. I think I took it right after I bought it in the parks lol.

The Princess Diaries book series

In a quest to please my inner child, I turned to The Princess Diaries books by Meg Cabot on Libby. It’s really cute listening to a 15-year-old girl describe her problems and inner feelings as she navigates the news of being a princess. The books are also very different from the movies, so it’s insightful to see what the author originally had in store for Mia Thermopolis.

Chailo Coffee Club

There’s seemingly a new coffee shop on every corner these days. One of my favorites is Chailo in Costa Mesa, CA. They have a variety of lattes (my favorite is dulce de leche latte), chai, and treats that satisfy any craving. They also have a mission of creating a third space for folks to hang out, chat, and work.

The decor is beautiful, with warm browns and maroons, comfortable couches and chairs, and a breezy outdoor area, perfect for catching up with friends.

Yogurt Bowls

Yogurt bowls are healthy, balanced, and pack a lot of nutrients and fiber! They’re a great meal to start my day. I also like that they’re quick and easy to put together.

Omg please don’t tell me if my proportions are off and I added too much of one thing or another lol. I’m making my yogurt bowl based on what I feel like eating that day!

Window Shopping

Another favorite pastime of mine has been window shopping! I love walking around the mall, a nearby shopping center, or at the thrift store to see what each place has.

It’s a great exercise for the body and for the mind, being present and exploring my surroundings

TUSHY Bidet

An item has finally been knocked off my wishlist: a bidet! I love the clean, fresh feeling after using the bidet, and I highly recommend one for any household. It was fairly easy to install and came with easy instructions as well. It was a bit scary to use for the first time and definitely took a few tries to get used to. Luckily, this bidet offers different water speeds, so I could try at my own pace.

It feels a little intimate to take a photo of my bathroom and toilet, so here’s a zoomed-in photo of what I felt comfortable capturing.

adidas Samba Jane Shoes

I love these shoes so much. These are my splurge shoes for the summer, but they’re well worth the cost. They match any outfit, and I get compliments wherever I go. They’re perfect for the office (especially since mine is at a theme park and I do a lot of walking throughout my work day), elevating a casual outfit, or adding a sporty yet feminine touch to a night out on the town.

Action shot!

That’s all I have for now!

What are some of your favorites from this summer?

Until next time, dearest friends!
